It started its industrial activities by acquiring Jain Carbide and Chemicals Ltd. for manufacture of Ferro Alloys. Over the years, the group has become a major player in the Ferro Alloys manufacturing segment. The Group pioneered manufacturing of Ferro Alloys for the first time through the small sized Electric Arc Furnace route. |
| 1996 |
The group diversified into the manufacture of steel and commissioned a semi automatic high-speed steel wire rod mill in Raipur domiciled under Hira Steels Ltd. (HSL) with a rated capacity of 60,000 TPA. Within two years of its operations, this unit achieved a production level of 100,000 TPA, which was more than the rated capacity. |

The company comissioned its 2nd rolling mill R.R.Ispat Limited with a capacity of 45000 MT for production of CTD Bar / TMT / Bars and similar Products. |
| 2001 |
Godawari Power & Ispat Limited (GPIL) was comissioned with an objective to set up facilities for manufacture of sponge iron, Steel Billets and Captive Power, as a backward integration facility for the Group?s Steel Rolling facilities. |

(i) Wire drawing facilities introduced in R.R.Ispat Limited
(ii) 1st phase of expansion initiated in GPIL |

Erection of Coal based captive power plants started for the individual ferro Alloy plants namely Hira Ferro Alloys Limited, Alok Ferro Alloys Limited & Jain Carbide & Chemicals Limited. |
